Fully booked webinar: The continuing professional development (CPD) journey

30 Aug 2016

The webinar on continuing professional development (CPD) to be held in September has reached the maximum number of registered participants.

Hosted by the Pharmacy Board of Australia (the Board), the free webinar to be held on 15 September will cover:

  • The concept of lifelong learning - Why it is important to plan your CPD
  • The CPD cycle - Plan, Do, Record, Reflect, Incorporate into Practice
  • Different ways to learn
  • How reflective practice can accelerate your professional development
  • The Board’s new CPD requirements
  • Available CPD resources and tools

A recording of the webinar and answers to frequently asked questions will be published on the Board’s website about two weeks after the broadcast.

Viewing of the recording may count as CPD and contribute towards you meeting the Board’s CPD requirements, if undertaking the activity allows you to meet one or more of the relevant competency standards in Competency Standard (2010) 1.5.

The news item published on the Board’s website contains further information on counting the webinar as CPD, as well as links to other useful information on CPD.

You may also contact the pharmacy professional associations regarding other education activities on CPD, and any additional support tools that are available to help you to meet the Board’s CPD requirements.
