Applying for registration

2025 renewal – Fast-track applications available until 31 July

If you didn’t renew your registration but need to stay registered, log in to your Ahpra portal to complete your fast-track application. You will need to pay the fast-track application fee as well as your registration fee. You cannot practise until your application is finalised.

If you applied to renew and your name appears on the register of practitioners with a renewal date of 31 May 2025, you can continue to practice as your registration remains ‘in force’ while we finalise our assessment.

Employers should check the Register of practitioners and if a practitioner’s name doesn’t appear, they are not registered.

Apply or renew your registration online

You can apply for registration and renew your registration online in the Ahpra portal.

Create or log in to your account to start an application, update your contact details, request a certificate of good standing or certificate of registration. If you need to change your principle place of practice or tell us about a notifiable event you can do so in the portal.

Tips on preparing your registration application

For detailed information on the application process, see Ahpra's Applying for registration information.

PDF forms

We are transitioning our PDF forms online. Some requests still need to be made on a PDF form.

Download the relevant form and once completed, log in to your Ahpra practitioner portal and upload it.

Hardcopy forms soon to be retired

If you wish to apply for registration or renew your provisional or limited registration using a PDF form, please go to our legacy forms page, search and download the relevant form.
